Theater
The Theater Department at the Rote Fabrik (Fabriktheater) is a platform for artistic experimentation. It focuses on the dialogue between the genres and encourages projects that transcend the disciplines. This approach enables the cooperation between different art forms, and links artistic, scientific and socio-political insight and methods of performance.
Over a longer period of time, representatives from various disciplines join forces with unusual forms of collaboration and develop projects specifically designed for Fabriktheater.
Fabriktheater offers a forum for unbiased questions about art and the search for answers regarding aesthetics and content. Apart from full-length co-productions and guest performances, Fabriktheater also reserves space for work-in-progress and the unfinished, and for conducting small experiments without the pressure of production. Parts of the production process are meant to become public and to stimulate critical exchange.
