Big Brother Awards
Since 2000, the Big Brother Awards have nominated the worst violators of privacy of the year. With support of the Rote Fabrik Special Events Group (Konzeptgruppe), the annual award ceremony hands out satirical "awards that nobody wants". The award categories include government, business, work place and life achievement. The only positive award is a "Winkelried Award" (Winkelried being a Swiss hero who sacrificed his life for the common good) for honorable resistance against surveillance and control. The award nominees are listed by the audience.
